Real Street Food Ride

Anyone know of any good spots for real street food at night? not food trucks. I'm talking the ladies who sell out of shopping carts, the night time churches, front yard restaurants etc.

I would say ride around alvarado near wilshire/7th. I always see a lot of street vendors while riding on 7th near MacArthur Park. Also Echo Park Lake during the day (weekends) and at night the Echo Park and Sunset intersection. Let me know if any of these places are good. So far I have only had elotes and fresh fruit from these stands. Since travelling in Asia my love of street food can be expressed by ---> :-O I LOVE STREET FOOD!!
American street food needs to be diversify, good, and affordable. The food truck trend is pretty nice, but the cost seems way too high for everyone to enjoy.

I have had some good stuff on the corner of 6th & Bonnie Brae. There are these ladies with little grills in shopping carts that cook up pretty good combo plates.
We usually ride on Tuesday nights, which is not the most happening night as far as street food.

please do tell. I'd like to link together a bunch of spots to do a ride, especially places that sell unusual things that most people aren't used to i.e. not your standard tacos: mulitas, cemitas, huaraches etc.

WELLLLL LETs see ok if we went to like oh shit !!! yeah by the sears building over the la river an so many other spots if we went over the 6th street bridge on to whittier blvd all the way down to atlantic blvd

im not to sure what ride it was but when we went to the sears building it was so cool it kinda was dark cause we were in the back so everyone left there lights on an was just having a great time ridazz riding an just talking to each other i really liked it enough to remember at least that the rest was kinda a blurrrrr....... it was great an there is a spot in the front of the big building with some peeps making good grubbbb.....

i don't know about street food but the fugitives need to venture east to the sgv for some chinese cuisine

The only real street food is literally food discarded in the street. Street grime adds to the flavor.

so much waste in this town that you can find pretty good stuff in the dumpsters.
