Everybody around here knows that Bike Town Beta was the original grass roots CicLAvia.

I hope that it keeps happening.
As CicLAvia continues to grow ... I'd love to see bike town beta latch on to that energy and take a sanctioned event and expand its parameters way beyond the limited number of closed streets.

Anybody interested in doing a BTB to co-inside with an upcoming CicLAvia?

I think it would be radical.

I tried organizing with Alec on BTB. As it panned out a few of us just ended up doing our own thing altogether for Bike Town Beta Kids.

I think if you think about the adjacent streets to the route and get creative, while keeping it small, you could do something cool. On the last BTB he went "big" on the route, but there wasn't enough support and or events.

CicLAvia has an element of what BTB wanted to be, so as a hint, dodgeball wasn't "sanctioned".

Im not sure you're correct about the originality point, nor how it matters, but if BTB happened next to CicLAvia, then that would be dope, and no one other than the powers that be which exist anyway, would get in your way.
