hey i'm riding out to the fyf fest on sat sept 4th and am wondering if anyone would be into biking with me out to downtown (and back?) from culver city. don't usually venture that far east and would just feel more comfortable in a small pack of friendly ridazz.

My bf and I are going to FYF and we are on the way from Culvery City to downtown (off of Venice and Fairfax). We were thinking about riding too but then I started to worry about my bike being out all day locked to...a street sign? a lamp post? Just got new handlebars and I was feeling worried about them or my whole bike getting jacked.

Does anyone else here know anything about bike parking or good spots to put them over in that area? I doubt they will let us bring them in with us. Maybe?


Apart from my paranoia, it would be fun to go together as a group! My bf and I are not super fast or slow pokes, just somewhere in the middle. So as long as it's not some crazy hustle ride then I'd like to join you. If you're interested, I'll email you so you have my email.

hey graciela - i'm reaching out via twitter to see what FYF fest has to say about bike parking. i was concerned about that too, since i had to go to great lengths to procure a frame small enough for me to standover. my new bullhorns are quite precious too.

i'm totally fine with meeting up @ venice/fairfax and taking a nice easy pace, maybe we could even head out a little early to avoid traffic craziness. we can hustle on the way back. =)
