Here is a thread for all the crimes that get more attention than ramming a cyclist and leaving them for dead ... the average punishment seems be be somewhere between no charges and a slap on the wrist.

So our first winner is ...

PUTTING UP A "SUPERGRAPHIC" = jail time and $1,000,000 bail

LA TIMES: Businessman agrees to take down Hollywood supergraphic
Kayvan Setareh, 49, was arrested last week. He agrees to remove the massive sign at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, and his bail will be reduced from $1 million to $100,000

 I was just thinking this when I heard about it on NPR. Serious jail time for bullshit and not even a slap on the wrist for a hit n run on a cyclist.

 Actually I have to give Trutanich a thumbs up for actually arresting an illegal billboard operator if that's truly the case. Now he just needs to get tough on all violent crimes.

But yeah, whatever. Do the crime do the time. I'm just fucking annoyed he seems to be focusing the limited resources of th CA on photo op crimes like sean penn, super graphics, and graffitii. When real ppl are being hurt and getting no justice..
