Bike to borrow Feb. 9 - 14

Hello! I will be visiting LA from Seattle WA next week, and am trying to find a lead on a possible bike-borrow. Does anyone know a place in the city that would lend out a bike, even for a day or two? I'm 5'7" and will ride just about anything as long as it fits. I am grateful to find people who are trying to advance cycling in LA. I have never been there before, but most people I've asked about biking in LA have laughed in my face. Any information would be wonderful.

 there isn't much in the way of bike rentals except for down by santa monica beach but they're usually shitty beach cruisers for probably $25 a day or so. try the links section above and check out bike oven and ask for paul. he may have a bike to rent to you....no promises though...good luck.
