Read, "A People's History of The United States".

It is amazing.

A historian, a teacher, and activist. He was an important figure for the civil rights and anti-war movements.

this is a great man!

he willingly hid the pentagon papers in his home before they were exposed....An amazing person with amazing talent...his book "the people's history of the united states" is the real deal and can never be forgotten ( it wont but i had to say it )

I was lucky enough to see him in person giving an introduction to the film "Examined Life" in Cambridge, MA. He didn't look very healthy, but it was amazing to listen to him introduce a film about some of the greatest philosophical questions and thinkers.
