New guy is really good, but I still like the old guy's more nasal tone better.

The new guy is just singing the song the same way (well as much as he can)He should have vocally made the song his own and tried something new,but instead he played it safe.

Oh no way dude!!! Layne was a way better frontman. Alice In Chains MTV Unplugged is still one of my favs.

check out cantrell here solo at the 4:30 mark. the sound is there and closing your eyes you wouldn't even know layne isn't singing....jerry cantrell did a lot of the singing with layne on the AIC records...

the scond video is "my song" from jerry's solo record. possibly the best song he's ever written...
