Sooo... I've gotten lucky and found work with a company called Polite in Public, who does really fun photo booths at events (www.politeinpublic.com). As a fledgling company, we are rapidly expanding and need a roster of solid LA event operators to call upon! They asked me to find people and so I have come here to pay you guys forward for all the advice, kindness, and acceptance you guys have given me.
Pay is $12/hour as an independent contractor. Mileage is reimbursed $0.48/mile (Yes, it helps if you have a car). Must be able to do some light to moderate lifting as some of the equipment is heavy (Good old Pelican cases and whatnot). Must be social and outgoing as you will be working with lots of different kinds of party people. Office is located at the Brewery off of Main St in downtown. It's totally fun work if you like taking pictures and interacting with people! And a totally easy way to make some extra cash.
