My roommate had a friend roll in last night that has biked all the way down from Oregon (!!!), and tomorrow he's attempting to finish off the final leg of his journey by meeting up with his brother at Occidental College.

I've taken it upon myself to help him figure out the best route for him to get there tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't know much of the area east of DTLA, and I was hoping some of you out there would know good routes to get to Occidental from either Crank Mob Park or DTLA.

Also, biking all the way from Oregon? Averaging 80 mi/day? HOLY FUCKING BALLS.

From downtown I would just take Broadway to Pasadena to San Fernando to Eagle Rock Blvd. I don't know if that is the best way but it works.

Get to Main Street and Alameda in DTLA (Near Phillipe The Original)

Take Main Street north east.

Left on Daly

Stay Left, Daly becomes Ave 26

Stay on Ave 26

Right on Figueroa

Left on Cypress Ave.

Cypress becomes Eagle Rock Blvd

Take Eagle Rock Blvd past York Blvd. to Ave 45.

Right on Ave 45

Left On Alumni - until you get into Oxy Campus.
