Unemployment equals inactivity
Thread started by bentstrider at 07.30.09 - 6:32 pm

Only reason I'm saying this is that when I was working a full, permanent schedule, I found myself taking more than my share of afterwork trips.
Hell, the best part about getting off at 11 or 12 PM was the fact that the streets are somewhat quiet for once and the wind has died down a bit.
Along with nightly ride expeditions, my gym routine was also implanted into my work schedule.
With all of this activity at and after work, my appetite grew old and it soon got to the point where everyone had to consistently remind me to eat, or I wouldn't.

Now, like most everyone else, I'm suffering from the lack of available hours to be worked.
Some are probably treating this new-found, involuntary freedom as good thing.
For someone who lives to work, this is torture.
I feel lazy, let myself go a bit and have to actually force myself to go and ride, instead of freely do it on account of having somewhere to get to.

On the upside though, I did gain an additional day of work after giving my boss a variation of the situation.

I'll also add that I'm not trying to bore anyone with my hot-air balloon piloting skills, but was just wondering if anyone elses cycling/rec habits were parallel with their work/former work schedules.

When I was unemployed, I was at Wolfpack nearly every Monday night. Now that I'm working again... not so much.

Sad part about all of this is the fact that I seemed to have discovered all of this while I was actually working.
Kind of weird that I actually got out more when I worked.
Damn, I must be THE machine.
