So while searching for other careers to back up my current options that are on life-support, I thought about Air Traffic Controlling.
The education itself doesn't seem too demanding like the heavy math/science load required of an engineering or health-science degree, I could finish it relatively quick.
Then after the usual FAA testing, you're basically assigned to pretty much any airport, anywhere across the country that is experiencing a need for ATC's.
In this case, usually all of them due to quitting, mandatory retirements,.etc
The other reasons I consider this a worthy career to look into is the fact that it's a government position, you're basically performing a public-safety job to keep commercial flights from crashing into each other, oh and pilots are my bitch!!!

Yeah, no kidding.
Only problem is the fact that it's a 70-80 unit program offered only at a handful of colleges that specify it as being a certified, FAA-ATC program.
Closest college according to the FAA website is Mt SAC in Walnut.
That's 5(fix)2 territory, oh well, guess I could move downtown, then haul-ass to the East, or vice-versa.

Check and see what the requirements are, they're pretty stringent in terms of mental/physical health.

You'll find something worthwhile though. I have no doubt of that.
Try finding something in the non-profit sector, so you can contribute without a lot of bureaucracy.

Non-profit sounds okay, but I'm wanting to find something where I at least still feel in charge of something.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I feel I've narrowed down my search quite well.
Don't want to continually put the mental, much less, physical requirements of the job into view.
At this point, the roll-over accident has pretty much closed the lid over my trucking career, and Ivy League shrinks have been derailing my thoughts of getting into LEO.
I've actually poked around this particular career for quite some time, and each time I did, it became ever more attractive to me as a fine field to get into.
As far as school-funding goes, I currently make too much to qualify for any federal grants.
So, this also seems like an easy enough degree that could be tackled part-time while I work.

They probably do, but funds are tight, gotta work for it, and I'm not too keen on relocating to Northern California.
Oregon, and Washington are cool though.

Air Traffic Control is an extremely high stress job. It will make you die faster. Think about it.

Go to pay the bills one way or another, Krista.
Not to mention I've grown keen to jobs that keep me on the seat of my pants.
Aside from police work and emergency-medicine, ATC is probably another cool job where I'll be stressed, but too busy to even think about it.
As for you Jon, I'm still too much of a goody-2-shoes to take that path!!!
