March 17 Mass Anti-War Protest in Los Angeles
On the 4th Anniversary of the Iraq War
U.S. Out of Iraq Now! Keep Anti-War Momentum Going!
Saturday, March 17, 12 noon Hollywood & Vine, Los Angeles
On March 17, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around Southern California will come to Los Angeles for a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! The LA march will be coordinated with a march on the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.
We will be mobilizing to make March 17 in LA as big, broad and vibrant as possible. Already, thousands of posters and tens of thousands of leaflets and stickers have been distributed around LA and Southern California. Organizing committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people to Los Angeles on March 17. Become and endorser, a volunteer and an organizing and transportation center today. Help organize buses, vans, carpools or "peace trains" to come to the LA protest. Click on the links above to get involved.
Download flyers and pass them out in your school, community, on street corners, give them to business owners to display in their windows, and get them out everywhere you go. If you want additional flyers, posters and stickers, contact us at 323-464-1636 or email answerla@answerla.org.
