anybody see this Eduardo the catfish episode? I'm dieing over here. In this episode Huell is an activist. He's basically shaming the owner of a pet catfish to free it. the catfish is in a cramped space and it's huge! so sad. animal cruelty! wow
I love Huell. not in a flamingly gay way. just a drunken bear hug way yoo no?

I landed my first production job about 7 years ago at KCET in Hollywood. Guess who's production office was right around the corner? Huell's. You gotta love that guy.

that show is bizarre. the host of CALIFORNIAS GOLD is clearly the furthest thing from a californian. his accent screams "old gay dude from the south who shops at eddie bauer" which is exactly what he is. im not hating on him at all, just stating facts.
how he is a big enough of a world celebrity outside of california to be spoofed by south park - ill never know.

How can you hate on my man Huell? He's got it going on. As an outsider he's the perfect candidate for discovering california's gold. Who better than an outside to ask the questions and have the interest in the most seemingly ordinary things. My favorites are where he goes to like lake cachuma or something way out in the middle of nowhere and they have one ranger and an exibit they put up in the 70's when there was a burst of funding or soemthing. I love seeing that shit.
This catfish episode is incredible. He very diplomatically shames this guy. The guy barely speaks more than 2 whole words. Per answer Its driving Huell crazy! I've never seen Huell so irritated and aggressive about getting this guy to give up his fish! 11 year pet! The dude seems like he barely could give a fuck about it thoigh. Ha. His last words to Eduardo were "Live long and prosper." This guy is the consumate tape duplication old guard. That's what the owner did.... Tape duplication in one of those flourescent lit little hole in the wall spots by cole and santa monica type places. Lol.
BRAVO HUELL! Good send off too. You could tell Huell was diening to laugh by allthe snickers in the background.

would it be too politically incorrect to dress as the schutzstaffel and turn into the third reich-dazz for a night?

I cannot watch his show. I don't know what it is, his voice and tone just get to me.

As a 4 year long visitor, I'm amazed at how little many California natives know about things that are right here.
Case in point - Channel Islands National Park - When I first moved here, I made 3 or 4 trips out there in the first 6 months. I know guys who grew up in LA who didn't know it was there and didn't believe me when we could see the islands on a clear day.
Huell kicks ass.

The bridge to nowhere is up in the East Fork of the San Gabriel River above Azuza and the 210. In the 30's +- 10 years there was a road and a bridge but a storm washed out both sides. Never seen it but heard about it when we were fishin the West Fork. Thats a good 8 mile ride up along the river and then just coast down hitting all the holes. Caught a 9" up there once on a nymph.
