the intentions of the article seem well, however I know fourth graders that can write a better piece.
I also like how there is no note, when talking of the family that only rides on the sidewalk and the bike trails, that riding on the sidewalk is actually, statistically speaking, more dangerous than riding on the road.

I love seeing miles and miles of traffic. I really do love it and cherish it. I hope car drivers rot on the freeway and wear themselves out in their chase while I relax with the wind in my face..... I love it when I go to the gas station and prices are higher. I really do love that.

When I take the long way to work in the morning, I travel south on the San Gabriel River bike path. More times than not as I ride along side the 605 freeway, I am going faster that the cars on the freeway. Yeah, I alway hope they look over and wish they were on a bike too. Hee hee.
