Join the Spoke(n) Art Bike Ride this Saturday night and see a live performance by some of our multi-talented Cooks.
SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION
A Chance Opera in 7 or 8 sentences

Space Ark Gallery in Highland Park
cello, electronics, guitar, movement, noise manipulation, projections, violin, vocalizations, words.
Eight artists working in different media and modes will use the atmosphere of Space Ark Gallery in Highland Park and the concepts of space, communication and conversation in acoustic and visual improvisations to create atmospheres within the gallery that both reflect the space and extend beyond it. As opera, this work is dramatic, narrative, visual, sonic, textual and relational. As chance it is improvisatory, collaborative and spontaneous. As structure, it stems from and exists in sentences. The performers, dressed in strong monochromatic colors, themselves become living interactive sculptures. Some audience participation will be encouraged.

I'm doing a sound installation/ performance at an art show at MorYork gallery. (4959 York in highland park).
I'm not sure if this is a regular stop for spok'n'art as i'v enever made it out yet.
Also performng is 8bit.
The event is a fund-raiser for
FAR.
There is a cover ... $6 for students $10 for working stiffs.
know that cover will seriously cut into beer fundage for some of you, so i won't feel bad if i don't too many of my 2 wheeled peeps out for this one.
oh the installation, in short: ... some covert speakers in the shape of rocks and a cube that are going to be the Djs of the night.
