Anybody know where to get your bicycle painted in Los Angeles? Looking for something other than Powdercoat, because I have some chrome on the frame and would like to do 2 color.

Persoanlly I use a solid coat of spraypaint, and that has yet to let me down.
But if you want to get fancy, and more durable, you can go to any automotive paint shop. The best prices are at the places offering to do an entire car for $300 to $400. You can get it done really cheap if you ask them to piggyback your frame on an automotive customer's job, but you gotta wait 'till they're spraying the colors you want....

Every place is different. It just depends how cool they are. Some places will look at you like you're crazy and others will say, "It's free, we're shootin' it anyway."
As for prep, do everything except the primer, they have a buff primer that they use for the cars, that's the kind you want.
Definitely do all masking yourself!! Threads, chrome etc.
