Yo-
Thought some of you might get a kick out of this. Riding to work this morning, I was starting to pass some cars that were stuck waiting for a car up ahead to make a left.
Right when I get up to it's bumper, an LAFD ambulance that was just out for a morning drive pulled the ol' "let's make an evasive maneuver and change lanes with out signaling trick."
I did an evasive maneuver of my own and came away unscathed with a couple inches to spare.
Caught up to the ambulance at the light, knocked on the window and when the paramedic rolled it down, I asked, "Are any of these lights on your rig turn signals?"
"Uh, yeah" was his slightly confused reply.
"Well, you should try using them because you almost hit me when you changed lanes back there."
He really didn't have much to say after that and for the next mile, he just kind of stared straight ahead when we'd be stopped at lights side by side.

One time at cubcamp... Annie was pulled over for not riding down the right close to the cars on Hollywood Blvd. When the cops pulled over the whipped open their doors they came withing inches taking me out.
They ignored the coincidence and proceeded lecture Annie on why she should be riding within reach of the Doors, so that real traffic could flow better. Everytime I tried to interject that they had almost killed me when I riding close to the right the yelled quite fiercely "We're not talking to you."
Not really as ironic as being killed by an ambulance, but a "funny/depressing" anecdote nonetheless.
