Well, last night was my first midnight Ridazz ride. I had no idea what to expect. I had a blast- the comradarie was amazing an dthe wenches plentiful. I was amazed by all the flat tires. I got no flats, but picked up hundreds of thorns on the rivier path. I have slime in my tires........just a $12.00 suggestion. Anyway, my only complaints:

1) the corking- or lack thereof. There were 1,700 people and I was corking with Crystal at most lights. She was hardcore and consistent- unlike myself.

2) this was my first ride- I had no idea how to get back to Los Feliz after the stop at the HMS bounty (I just relocated to L.A.). I had no idea how to get course maps and no idea how to get back to my car. After dodging prostitutes, pimps and various shady situations, I found Los Feliz.

Anyway, it ain't a perfect world- and I'm still euphoric at the strength in numbers and overall attitude of the riders.

I flatted both of my tires from thorns, replaced the tubes, flatted again because I had missed a few, patched the tubes, busted the valve in the front, and missed one more thorn in the back. That's about when I decided to call it a night. For the little bit that I did ride, though, I had fun. Thanks for all the folks that stuck around and helped me out.
