Egads, ride arc is coming to the valley this month...pedalnpub, ridearc,pedalnpub,ridearc,pedalnpub...must be "visit the valley month" or something...sheesh...maybe if we ride at each other we can play cowboys and indians, or merge and join and split apart and merge again... amoeboids...

does that mean you'd have to call it "Ride Yeeaarc!!" if you have an eye patch on?

Is there another city besides LA where the ride culture is so strong that rides overlap? we have it lucky haar!

Knowing RIDE-Arc and the sort of shit they pull off, they probably won't overlap or see each other on route, but Los Angeles is very fortunate! No doubt!

Just got to my apartment. I like to sit outside and cool down before I go in so I don't feel all hot inside.....
Ok. Ride-arc fucking ruled. What a path.... We rode along most of the river out to ventura blvd up in the hills a bit south of ventura over to the sepulveda basin and down to the actual sepulveda damn. Fucking awesome I hadn't been there in years. It was all ours. Full moon. We continued out to the orangeline bike path and even though the ride ended there we still had to ride back to LA which we did via the orangeline bikepath to griffith park via victory..... What an asskicking I got!
By the way, I keep mentioning this but 40-75 people is the perfect size for a ride. I actually met people. Great ride guys.

Yeah, I agree, great ride! I just got up, can't sleep late, sun coming in and birds making noise.
46 miles last night & I'm sore in a bunch of different places from the first time out my new road bike (no parts fell off). I was a klutz at times, but at least I didn't crash. 3 1/2 hours of sleep just isn't enough, but it was all worth it . . . nap later.

I don't know if "we can", as in "the city would allow it", but having had a view of the lake for 14 years, I've seen some crazy shit out there: people swimming for various reasons, bodies and cars being pulled out, stuff burning, amazing wildlife. Yeah, I saw a guy go out in a kayak one day & paddle around for a while; nobody bothered him . . . row at your own risk, I guess . . . ha ha.
Pictures from last night's ride can be seen here:

I'll throw some up in the gallery section too.

I have to agree that ride-arc reached an all time high this last time around! On the way back through Griffith Park we spotted a couple of deer right nex to the road plus the usual skunks.
