Dan was helping me secure a venue for the show, but now i cant seam to reach him. Maybe Im useing the wrong email address? is he still on earthlink?

revphil, I think the one you are talking about is the echo park film center...
or we could, you know, project it on one of the many vacant wallz in downtown...
the bonuses of such a venue include:
bike riding DURING films
byob... and other things
the possibility of passerby chancing upon bike smut
the possibility of cops chancing upon naked franz (i.e. hilarity ensues)

btw, i am down for a gurilla screening, EXCEPT it is hard to find a place to be comfortable for 90 min. i dont really want to show the movies with people riding around, i mean, I would enjoy it, but anyone wanting to watch the movies would find it distracting,,,
ya know?
so to do an outdoor screening we need:
* recon on a safe space with little ambient lighting
* projector that is tested and has the right ports (i use RCA)
* sound system that can overcome the local noise (without much distortion)
* enough watts to power both devices
* chairs, blankets, or whatever is necessary so folks can relax and enjoy the films

1830 Sunset is a building where they show movies on their rooftop, outdoors. They have JBL speakers and a projector, along with pillows and all sorts of things on the floor to get comfy on. It was a while ago that I went to see City of God there, but I took some pics:

Just an idea. I don't know anyone there, and I've only been once. But maybe it's a cool spot? I think they either serve wine, or people can bring some, I forgot. They charge 5$(donation), which I THINK comes with food. This is when they do screenings.

no estoy celoso. el pendejo simplemente es una victima mas de esta imbecil. es un titere. y esta causando panico, y peleando por una causa ridicula, la de ella. hey, on topic!
this is about a lot of political shit, but all of it is subversive. like you can just go to a movie that is fun and sexy and unique and you never have to feel like you were beaten into feeling a specific way.
i do wish that we could show the movies during the crank mob, but it sounds like sitting and watching (even with hilarious heckling) is too much for the MOB
alas.
so maybe on sunday somewhere downtown?
otherwise on friday we got a hot time out at Pitzer College on Friday night. Bike Polo, naked ride, a movie screening, and more surprizes coming.
