my friend is looking to get a new road bike...doesn't have to be this year's model. her budget it something like $400-450. i know it's tough to get something good for that price...ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR KNOW OF A GOOD DEAL SOMEWHERE???

I don't know enough about bikes to build my own so I am also looking for a used road bike on craigslist and such.

 It shouldn't be too hard to get something decent for that price. I got my '91 Cannondale about a year ago off Craig's List for $250. All it needed was tire and a spoke.
