i saw that movie, and i was just curious, how exactly did the woman and kid drive on and off of the island with both bridges destroyed and, I assume ferries that weren't running?
The editors probably didn't want to cover every, single detail, so they left that one open-ended.
My take is that Alice had some hot-wiring skills and essentially acquired vehicles on each side of the waterways.
And to get back and forth on the waterways, it probably wasn't that hard to figure out how to use a small boat.
i did cm in manhattan last month and i got a ticket for not having a headlight. the ride was broken up in about 10 minutes and there were more police than riders (about 75).
i <3 the nypd and bloomberg's "green" initiatives.
After doing Manhattan Critical Mass tonight, I think we should get in contact with some of the participants. The parallels between SMCM and MCM are pretty easy to see.
We should work together to try to figure out solutions to the police harassment.
That's awesome that you did NYCM!!! No ticket for you? That would have made a nice souvenir... BTW... Your room isn't flooded. Bike Porn was awesome I won a shirt, other people (FRANZ) took off their shirts. I couldn't bootleg it for you. my bad. see you sun! Im drunk and pretending MR is my personal email client.
Kyber - I suggest a group showing of "Still We Ride" the movie about NYC Critical Mass and what went down around the RNC and after. (and I happen to have a copy) maybe a screening somewhere in SM?
