This guy commutes 21 miles through trails from his home in Simi Valley to his work in Calabasas.
It was front page, lead story in Daily News today.

Kudos to the guy. 42 miles of trail a day is pretty crazy.

650 dual-sport is the ride of choice.
I still want to get one and mount a bicycle-carrying rack onto it, if that's possible.
A relatively, cheap form of reliable motor-transport to get my ass across the expansive voids between here and various points in the Basin.
