I know the goal on this ride was 1000 riders and there were a lot of people from out of town on this ride that were really trying hard to make it on time. I was very surprised and impressed to see a ride of this size actually rode out on time...but...a ride of this size whose goal is to be 1000 riders cannot be accomplished unless their is atleast some sort of manifest and atleast some sense of direction from the leaders. I, like many many other riders that showed up just a little late (10-15 min) were left at 7-11 with no clue as to where to go. Though we had friends in the ride that were doing their best to direct us to the masses apparently whoever was leading this thing missed almost every stopping point they said they would be at for the first few miles. I'm not talking shit here but you're goal is 1000 and you left an easy 60 straggling by themselves. So after this flop, we luckily created our own ride so thanks you for the unorganization...

...and thanks you for being late.
How can it be unorganized if it leaves on time? Just because you're late? Chill out about it and don't blame others for your own lack of organization.

Unorganization?
Seems like 1000+ people leaving on time is a bit more organized than you showing up late...
So, since this was your first ride, I'll just let you know that weeks of planning go into these rides. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that you don't even notice.
But as Brian and others do all they can to make things run smoothly, there is still a certain element of self-competency that individuals need to have. Unfortunately, this lack of self-competency is what disassembles these rides. You show up late, someone else has a busted bike, but guess what? Around 1000 other people are fine.
There were even ridazz who were riding all over the valley looking for stragglers. They gave up there fun so that they could help others have a good time. I say great job to the ORGANIZERS, and to the DISorganized peeps that make these rides fall apart... quit bitching.

Apparently you didn't read what I wrote...I said the start time was HIGHLY organized and i was impressed that a ride of this size could start on time. What I said was unorganized was all the remaining stops to allow other riders to catch up. Yes, my time was unorganized because I drove from San Francisco yesterday to take part in this ride and visit friends...instead made some new ones so thanks...boooooooooooo

Who is the organizer of this thread?
What kind of title is "blah..."?
I was looking for a thread to complain about last night's ride and I didn't realize it was this one because of the vague title "blah...".
Now all the smart comments have been made and there is nothing for me to say. I missed all the fun.
Thanx guise....
