North East LA Tuesday Night Eagle Rock Ride

Apparently there are a few of us in the Eagle Rock/Highland park area and it would be cool if we could get a ride going. There are a lot of other fast paced rides during the week, so after a few suggestions from others I've decided this should just be a medium-ish paced ride where we get to hang out, meet some cool people, explore the local area and possibly grab some food at local businesses in the area.
Where: Parking lot at liquor shop at Colorado Blvd and Townsend.
When: Tuesdays, Meet at 7:30 p.m. ride out at 8:00 p.m.
Route: Changes from week to week, check out the most recent posts or below to see whats up
Pace: Medium/chill-ish
Bring: U-lock, monies for food and drinks, whatever bike you got, pump and tubes
What not to bring: Haterade

Beaterbike hussle
We can ride to the beach on cheap ass beater bikes,no need for locks.Then leave them there with a sign that says free and take a late night bus back to la make that mother a mero party bus all the way home.

Even better we could ride to bikerowave and leave the crap bikes there to donate.I have an ugly folding bike I would lov to get one good ride on take it out for one night and never see again.

the posts on la fixed are the same as here i just copied and pasted them on here to get more peeps out on the ride its chill paced so that we can recover from the fast paced rides ! hope to see all of you out there tonight dont bring the haterade just leave it on the posts

Wow, it's awesome to see that a lot of people came out to this ride today. I was the guy who got it started on LAfixed, and am glad to hear that more people showed up. Was busy today, but I'll probably be there next week... looks like I'll need to make more spoke cards too...

what up peeps we rolled 20+ tonight and had a heck of a time cruising through the americana freeking peeps out and yelling and being jolly then rolling to the la river path ! and down to fig and randomly met up with the china town ride ! then we rolled with them to mr t's but eddie brought all of his hipster friends so we bounced ;) then they caught up to us and we rolled with them to the end of the ride !
brash from LA Fixed co lead the ride and props to him for helping out but overall the ride was good look forward for more NELA fun Next week i will post the new route soon enough anysuggestion please gmap-pedometer them to me asap ! thanks again for a good ride lets keep them wheels turnin !

last week we had some kids on some dusty mtn bikes with messed up dusty gears who kept up ok, they just pulled their old bikes out of their garages and came on the ride

great ride everyone, bump the hype we started out with 35+ we endured well with some up hills and some downhills but relativley stayed together and enjoyed the cool evening air ! thats what riding is all about i needed a nice chill ride tonight having gone all out the past two days, lets keep this going NELA we are feeling the love !

Who knew NELA had so much dope riding? I wanna move there, so many long streets where we could all out sprint plus hills too! good pace for roadbikes, a notch below Wolfpack, and still really fun. The name is kind of a mouthful, but yeah I endorse this ride!

route for this upcoming week. Wide open roads and longer straightaways should increase the fun factor for all.
This leads us to the
Chandler Bike Path in Burbank. Going to scout it out on Monday to make sure this thing actually exists.

here's a big FUCK YOU to those of you who ignored me when i called out that i had a flat tire last night after turning left on magnolia from vineland..i was riding in the middle of the pack when i pulled over and i shouted a couple of times i had a flat.. i know i couple of saw me cuz there was a smaller group in the back that just kept going..
we did stop for an earlier flat at chandler bike path so do we stop for some guys but for others we dont?
if you saw me pull over to fix my flat and ignored me FUCK YOU.. and for those of you who simply didn't see me or hear me...see ya next tuesday!!

I agree with cancerchick. There are a lot of riders from the racoons and if it's difficult to remain a "medium-chillish" look for other rides that are more like the 626 racoons. It's just an alternative.

FLATS SUCK, I KNOW, GOOD TO KNOW 'NO CRASHES', NICE.
MAYBE I CAN JOIN NEXT TIME, GOT TO GIVE UP ANOTHER RIDE I DO, NOT FEELING IT.
I REMEMBER THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT 2 RIDES A MONTH, NOW THERE ARE TOO MANY TO CHOSE FROM.

Yeah i dont know what happened, the group seems to get smaller and smaller. This last ride was really small and the riders forget that it's a "medium-chillish" ride. it's cool, I personally dont mind the speed, but I just think that it keeps new people from coming back to the ride.....

i adore the eagle rock ride. Had a blast last time I was there. I still can't believe how I ate it at that intersection...haha. Pace was definitely chill...see y'all next Tuesday! <(^_^)>
