Some of you have mentioned riding a double century this year. Planet Ultra has one coming up that starts in Irvine on the 16th of Feb. They are great people and it is well-supported. The Death Valley double is amazing and I know a bunch of kids are going out, but if you are not already signed up it is too late...
There are some arguments against shelling out the cash and riding an organized ride and I probably agree with most of them. But it is really nice to be out there with so many other people and to have food/water at specific spots, etc.

there's also the santa monica to santa barbara double century coming up, i think it's a 2-day ride. it's supported or something.

A double! I want to do one of those. For the next LA to SD ride, I'm planning a double. So get ready! Early spring!
