some of you may have heard i'm shooting this movie about two bicycles in love. so far I've gotten some help from ashira (costumes/props), katie o'shea (girl bike), enci (customer), chris kelly from hollywood pro cycles (shop owner), and loads of other people.
we shot our first scenes in february, and I kind of didn't want to put anything out there until I had a finished product, but I also don't want people to think that progress isn't being made.
so... here's a scene from the film where a customer comes in and buys the girl bike (katie o'shea) away from the boy bike (nick denning).
this is raw footage btw. when all of the vfx are in place, it will look a lot different.
Heheahhaa! Only nominally less weird-sounding than this comment from a passer-by: "Hey, can I ride your handlebars?" I don't even know what that means! Did he need a lift? But he was at a bus stop ... ?
Anyway, we're all super excited about the film. It was so much fun. I tell people in all the cities I've loved and left that it only took me a year and a half to break into show business. That's pretty good, yeah?
