Sea Monsters Revenge of Architeuthis
This Saturday the AIDS Life Cycle team will be training on the West Side for an Ocean front view. Chill, mostly flat and rolling terrain followed by scenic hill climbing in Palos Verdes, to be concluded with a pleasant ride back to the start and finish at the Bikerowave. Beware the mysteries of the Sea however, who knows what danger lurks beneath the cloudy waters...
MEAT@: Bikerowave Start Time : To Be Announced (Midday Ridazz, not Crack of Dawn Ridazz this time)
Anyone looking for a taste of West Sidazz flavored absurdity should hang around after the ride for C.R.A.N.K. MOB
I hadn't realized when posting this was the same day as the ALC kick off party. We will still ride, but the midday start will become morning instead, and we will arrive to the party in route on the ride.
We'll return to the Bikerowave after the party. This will have us ending earlier then originally planned, so there will be a large gap until C.R.A.N..K. MOB, but I'd like to encourage people to hang out and see the absurd west side party on wheels if you've got the time.
i'd like to do the ride, but i'd need to be back to BRW at least 1 hour before the party, since i'm working at the party and need to change. If that doesn't fly with your plan, that's cool. I just need a heads up.
At this party there will be booths registering people for ALC, and a raffle in which 6 bikes will be given away as prizes. Anyone who's given some thought to signing up for ALC should come check it out, and if the ride is too early, you can meet us at the party.
Great ride everyone, you guys are doing awesome. Liz, you are turning into a hill monster. Rock those hills, woo00OOoooo! We'll be ready in June for sure at this rate.
maybe consider a free spinning hub to go with that brake so you can roll down hawthorne at 45mph with the rest of us (suicidal on fixed, i presume) cos that was a BLAST
Gary, although I have not ridden on this ride or anything I really like your use of kraken. They are one of my favorite mythical creatures, next to unicorns and mermaids... but maybe kraken are real... giant squid are real... anyway this is my "drunk dial" on MR for this evening. I will stop now.
Yeah, I must say I was surprised we were the only team that rolled up to the ALC party on bikes. Team Midnight Ridazz, best looking and most carbon neutral. Photos from the training ride are up on flickr.
