My life is good!

I was sitting around peacefully, warm and dry about 8:30 last night; my phone rings, the ID says Brassknuckle but when I answer it's Borfo. He's says something to the extent of, "We've kidnapped Ritchie, the Tren Ways are putting on Santa suits, we're going to ambush the Cubbies under the First Street bridge, can you come and take pictures?"
How could I say no to that?

Patience, grasshoppers . . . I took over 200, went to bed at 1 am, up at 6:30.
Gimme a day or so; quality takes time.

Unbelievable.... I couldnt have guessed we were going to be ambushed. The best part was recognizing Richtotheie bound and gaged to his wheelchair with a "I Love Trenway" shirt provided for him by his abductors. Thank god I just missed your flour bombs, cause with the rain I would of come home as the Plisbury doe boy!

Richie,
If I have a chance to swing back to the spot to pick up those banners on the bridge, do you still want them? And thanks for being such a good little gimp.
Otherwise people just drive by and wonder what it means - "Welcome to Tren Way, Cubbiez Bitches, Naughty Marcus, santas are coming i.y.m" .. huh? And why are they hanging little teddy bears?

I had the sense to bundle up warm last night; the waiting became almost Zen-like.
Then everything happened at once: Cubbies arriving, creepy SUV guy turning around, flour bombs flying and the rain falling.
Riding home in the rain I couldn't help but feel that these are times to remember.
Now to get to work on those pics.

Man, sounded like a good time.
Good news is I'll be moving down to the Inland Empire sometime in the next two months.
This will make AWOLS a helluva lot more possible to pull off the shit that has only been brewing in my own mind.

"creepy SUV guy turning around".
That sounds scary. On my last expedition to the low desert I had some crazed desert rat in a Mad Max-looking old chopped up Dodge Power Wagon turn around and follow me along Route 66. I was starting to think of ways to fashion my Zefal pump into some kind of wicked blowgun when suddenly he took off in a blaze of backfires and smoke. He must have decided I was too old and chewy to throw into his old mineshaft plumping me up on rattlesnake gizzards and stinkbugs.

Well this guy was in a brand new Toyota FJ Cruiser (butt-ugly vehicle in my opinion).
And thanks for the Santa hat; that really help keep me warm!

I am pretty sure bike culture is made of glitter and flour and TWBG. You guys did an incredible job, thats just plain well-executed fun! Dan and Joe and Nicole- you guys made history as far as I am concerned!
I am glad we were all sane enough to NOT use water balloons, even though I did progress into a walking wheatpaste!
Anyhoo, lessons of an afterparty: no dancing, no smoking, no chewing gum, and especially no jumping. BTW, Marino that was an amazing move! JQE BRFR karreokey chimp!
