The Tek ride is for those who want to work on their technical cycling while also having fun. We will do pace line drills, hill drills, sprint drills plus just ride. What we do each week will be determined by who attends and what we want to work on.
This is a Team oriented ride with a focus on safety.
Length of Ride: 30-50 Miles
Skill Level: Not for Beginners
Meet at the corner of La Brea and Franklin in Hollywood

Last Sunday was a long, hard ride of 55 miles.
Chris, Aaron, David and Paul pushed each other over Mulholland into the valley, over Topanga Canyon and back.
We found Lemonade to be the most refreshing drink on the planet!

Do you suggest a geared bike for these rides? Is a newly single speed (avid geared) rider not recommended?
This is pretty much what I have been looking for.
Werd.

We finished our second official Tek ride today.
It was a killer hot day.
Jesse, Aaron, David and Paul did some pace line work and really had a go at it.
Paul cracked after the several and couldn't really recover for the rest of the ride.
The guys decided to ride Griffith hills and Paul was mentally carried through it. He wanted to quit 30 miles in but the guys wouldn't let him.
He finishes 17 more miles under their support.
That is the Tek ride.

Hill Drill day! Need I say more?
The cloud cover made it a pleasure to ride out after the hills down Mulholland and down Sepulveda to San Vicente to the beach and Back.
Maybe I should snap a few pics one of these rides.

so i missed yesterday's ride b/c of work in SF, and i will miss next weeks ride b/c of IE travel. however, if anyone is up for this....we could have the tek ride in murrieta. i will be doing a little floyd "the innocent" landis training ride up on the santa rosa plateau. aaron, the climbing is not as bad as mt. wilson, but there is about 10-12 miles at a 4-6 grade through a national forest. it's totally isolated=zero cars and the views are awesome. i would love to to do it w/ others so as to draft. i know it's a lot of driving, but the ride is worth it.

Hi,
I don't have access to list this ride so it shows up every week. So each week I am reposting.
We are revitalizing this ride from someone else who started it.
We like that it starts early and ends early for us working guys.
