TEAM MIDNIGHT RIDAZZ - MS150 "WAVES TO WINE 2008" SAN FRANCISCO TO SONOMA!!! B IN THE "MS150-TEAM M.R."
Thread started by Eddie GOpez at 05.20.08 - 1:23 am

We need 5 ridazz or more to have our very own and very first MS150 TEAM MIDNIGHTRIDAZZ. This will be my third year participating in this great ride and great charity fund raiser for a terrible and debilitating disease that strikes young and old. As a registered rida, your only financial expense is a registration fee of $25-$35 dollars and transportation costs to the start. We can totally carpool, CUBCAMPERS, be in the team too, let's do this, let's bring the box., there's ovenight camping. sorry don't mean to impose but sounds like a great idea. I believe the regular price is about 35 dollars but teams may get team member 25 dollar fees. The fundraising commitment per individual is $250.00 (not $2,500.00 - so it's easy to raise). the ride is well supported by staff, chp and it is catered by a sponsoring restaurant and they always have a vegetarian option for the meals. maybe we can send in comments and get them to have vegan options for our vegan ridazz. Just leave that to me i'll comment it to them. did i meantion that there's all the free fat tire and other belgium brewery products and an assortment of wine from local wineries. That means that unlike the ALC we can go fast on this one and build a peloton in the early morning and be a lead pack or a giant pack of fast ridazz from different teams. that is usually the case and an option. I know i will try to do it as fast as i can to get to the showers and dinner n beer, especially the beer. DannyZuko if you want in i will nomiate your ass the captain. Danny did it last year with me and im sure he had a blast. Thanks again to all that helped zuko and I with the fundraising efforts and for getting the tiny logo on the jersey. PC special thanks go out to you. thanks again. This year we want our own jerseys that will be almost as cool as the ALC TEAM MR jerseys. Im thinking the same or similar pattern design but with the MS150 logos and different colors of course. something bright, like purple grapes. The route is amazing and is probably similar to last years. I will post route details as they come available.

Event Details
San Francisco to Sonoma County
Join us for Bike MS: Waves to Wine Ride - a fully-supported, two-day bike event, including free parking at the AT&T Ballpark Parking Lot A. All you need is your bike and your gear, and we'll take care of the rest. There will be rest stops approximately every 12-15 miles, along with a lunch stop and post-ride dinner both days, so you will have plenty of liquids and food to keep you going all day long.

Day 1:

40 miles

Starting in Rohnert Park at Sonoma Mountain Village head west toward the beautiful farm roads of Petaluma. Continue into Marin County as you hit a long stretch on Chileno Valley Road. Loop back into Sonoma County to head back to Rohnert Park for the overnight festivities to begin.

75 miles
Starting in San Francisco at AT&T Park, heading over the Golden Gate Bridge, out HWY 1 to Stinson Beach then heading to Rohnert Park for the overnight at Sonoma Mountain Village.

100 miles

If 75 miles isn’t enough for you, we will be adding an additional 25 mile loop in Marin County for the more adventurous people.

The Overnight
The overnight is quite a festival of great food, great music, and wine and beer at our beer garden. It'll be a chance for you to share recaps of your day out on the course and to just hang out with your fellow riders. Then off to bed to rest up for the following day's ride.

Day 2:

50 miles

This route starts at the same location as the 75 mile route and meet up with them at the first rest stop. You will be winding through some beautiful rural countryside and vineyards heading north into Sebastopol. You will ride along some of the famous vineyards in the Russian River Valley on your way to the finish at Lake Sonoma.

75 miles
This route will start out heading South through Marin County on Chileno Valley Road. You will be winding through some beautiful rural countryside and vineyards heading north into Sebastopol. You will ride along some of the famous vineyards in the Russian River Valley on your way to the finish at Lake Sonoma.

teams at times get one free tent rental and a tent can sleep about 5 snugged in close. but bring tents if you've got them, and also sleeping bags n towels. showers are provided daily. it gets chilly north of SF bring warm clothes.

also if we drive n carpool the cars stay at the start point. our gear gets moved by truck and we and our luggage get shutlled back to SF at the end of the event.

WAVES TO WINE, MS 150, like the sta. barbara one only more picturesque and more wineries. We will be carpooling in 2 or three cars. only 350 to raise as well and also 150 fifty miles with a sometimes additional 25 miles the first day for a century (+75 miles on day 2 = 175miles of fun.) Talk to zuko or I if you are interested in this one. This one will take place on 9/13/08 & 9/14/08.
