Awright everybody this is gonna be a real crazy way out kind of a race!
I can tell you from experience it is definitely worth showing up for, they don't let just any race kick off the Velocity tour you know?
If you've never been in an alleycat race check it out, it's probably the most longstanding aspect of night time party riding in the city. It's not always who is the fastest, just who is the cleverest!

On the subject of BladeRunner, I'm still shocked to believe how hot Sean Young was in that year.
Now she's turned into quite a bit of trainwreck, sad what age tends to do to some people.

Ummm... so I've been asked to lead a ride to the party post-race by Megan/Swarm! - but that's about all I know. What time will this ride-to-the party be so I can be there to wrangle it all together and lead the herd?

harrison ford may or may not be there.....
there is no route, rather there are "checkpoints" you must navigate to retire your replicants
this "urban cycling adventure" does not end where it begins so plan accordingly if you wish to participate.
although advantageous, speed will not win you this race. knowledge, and skill (that may or may not include your ability to avoid and outwit authority figures) are your greatest tools. oh and watch the movie as it will help. this is a scored race where both time and points are taken into consideration.
again the race will begin and center around downtown, but will not end here.

People this Bladerunner shit is gonna be waay of the hook!
A lot of planning and care went into this thing, I was there last night helping them plot it and I must say this is the most epic alleycat I have ever been involved with in my 4 years of fixie riding.
ANY bike is ok, some say a geared bike is better!
Go for the experience, not the win people, you will have a great time!

Eric Hair did not even show up. He missed out.
Just got home from an all night chase of midnight ridazz after the race. Had 2 fucking blowouts and ended up walking a good distance home, Should have just met them at Lincoln park which is where I was at one point. Anyway thanks to the guy who gave me a tube, that was super nice but my fat ass hit a pothole and blew it out again, and thanks to the guy who rode with me for a bit who's name I never remember, and the Armenian guys who entertained me that bailed MR and were waiting for a taxi when I was patching my tube. Funny stuff.
That was rambling. The true point of this post is to say that this race had it's shit together and was a blast. One of the best Bike related events I have had the pleasure to be a part of. Very well organized and beyond fun. Thanks to everyone involved for a great night.
Also, I love going into a swanky place (Bonaventure) because even when you are obviously a scumbag the staff treats you like a king. Haha.
