I am in the market for decent road or fixie, preferably $200 to $300 but will shell up to $600 if it';s dreamy. 51-52cm
My friend, "Clutch", Alesa, needs a road bike too. I think she's looking on the less expensive end. 53-54cm.
I believe in a friendly economy, so I come here first to you all.
Please post here on contact micheleappel@gmail.com if you have something!

You'll probably need new brakes, but they're cheap.

Go on the L.A. Craigslist. I see some guy in the San Gabriel Valley that everyday seems to have several ads for road single speeds and/or fixxies for around 300 bucks or less. He has pics too and they look decent.
Here's a couple of his ads....

And if you do buy one of his rigs, tell him I want a 10% cut.

This site is all about lolcats, multiply-layered self-referential inside jokes, and insulting people whom you get along with in real life. You're going to love it.

I am going down to the “Bike Doctor”, south of USC, on Saturday.
He sells bikes in the front of his yard. Sometimes he has crap, sometimes he has gold.
Between $45 and $75 for road and mountain bikes. All these bikes will need some work. So a trip to the Bicycle Kitchen will be in order. I am specifically looking for a bike to convert to a fixed-gear.
Email if you are interested in going, I will be going anyway.

my friend bought a single speed (converted to fixed) from the huntington beach guy. he had a ton of small singles and geard 49cm - 54cm bikes a few months ago. he said he's always getting stuff in.
for the future, if you go to criagslist - bikes and type in "714", you'll find him. he's always got his number listed there.
here's a current listing of his bikes.

Just to clarify,
the HB guy is not the same as the junkrusty bikes or whatevever.
All his bikes are in pretty good condition and he has quite a few of them that are even really nice.
My girl bought a bike from him and has been quite happy with it....
