Come out and watch the San Dimas Stage Race today (3/29) and tomorrow (3/30). Saturday is the second stage of the race that is a road course around Lake Puddingstone. Sundays' race(final stage) is a crit in downtown San Dimas.
Come out and support Midnight Ridazz's like Beatriz, XPC, Wise, Jack, etc.. Local bike crews like Wolfpack and SWARM! are well represented. This also a good opportunity to see world class racers like Tyler Hamilton and Oscar Sevilla, both from Rock Racing, in action.

The first time I met B was on the Dark Century I.0.
I knew she was serious (and strong) when she took pulls at the front of a quick pace line going up the San Gabriel River bike path.

Have to point out that Jack (Swarm!) rode there and back. Hopefully he didn't miss the train again and made it to the road race today with fresh legs.

Are there more sandbaggers than ever in Cat 5? If you guys aren't on the podium in Cat 5 something is wrong with organized racing.
Is there a Cat 6 nowadays?
At mountain bike races guys ride the beginner class for years just so they can win. Is that the way it is in road racing?

Jack, and Wise are Cat4
Cat5 was pretty even, lots of strong riders, but in no means sandbagging. What for? And there is no real incentive.. since there is no purse.

For the glory of winning. There aren't, or weren't, purses when I was racing mtn bikes beginner, sport, and expert. But some guys would race for years in beginner just so they could bag a lot of wins. I felt bad for my fast beginner friends when they'd get 15th or something in their first races.

That shit hurt! There are some strong riders in cat 4. But I made the time cut.

B finished with the pack today and did not lose GC placing. The W Pro 1/2 field is pretty strong. The High Road women took 1,2,3,4 and are at least 2 minutes ahead of everyone. The crit is tomorrow and goodluck to all.
