This forum needs a Midnight Ridazz presence.

Nothing wrong with spreading the word. However, that forum only has 85 members.
A couple more populated bicycle forums that could use a Ridazz presence are:
http://www.os-bmx.com (3,633 members)
http://www.oldschoolbmx.com (12,958 members)
There aren't enough BMX/freestyle Ridazz anyway...

I'll give it a couple days before Funonymous is banned...they're a little uptight over there.

It's already got an MR presence. However, I encourage you to do your own dirty work.

Those VVBC forums I mentioned awhile back are about as dead as this entire desert at night.
I could shoot the shit on there, and no one would really care.
This site is like my only link to the outside world until I finally jump onto the relocation bandwagon.

They say that they really don't want you over there. I think secretly they do, though. Why else would they make it open regisration?

Hell, sounds like even my grumpy, old ass could liven up the party over there.
A batch of MR, with a spritz of the SGC!!!

I take it bikeforums.net is something of a bête noire here? (The commercial site, not the vBulletin spin-off.)

I think there are lots of cool people on BF and lots of good information, especially the Classic/Vintage, Mechanics Forums...I post to the Women's Forum there. I like to put the word out on certain rides over there. Lately it seems like wherever you go there is conflict...

Someone posted a blurry close-up photo of heat rash on what at first blush appeared to be her derriere region, but was later identified as her decolletage area.

I didn't get no damn-ass PM with no damn-ass secret forum in it. I feel dissed, a little.
BIKEFORUMS.NET RUNDOWN:
The BF Singlespeed and Fixed Gear subforum will always have a special place in my heart, if only because of the legendary
Nathan Fabian thread.
BF Socal consists of a little coterie of insufferable lameasses, a few cool people, some people from here who post there for shits and giggles, and a hilarious troll.
BF Advocacy & Safety is a steaming cesspool. Every thread in there is like the worst argument you have ever read in this forum, only nobody is allowed to hijack it with lolcats or racist death metal YouTube videos. Avoid.
BF Classic & Vintage, Bicycle Mechanics, and Touring subforums can be useful and interesting, but they're not the kind of forums you would log into every day and hang out in. Sheldon Brown used to hang out in Bicycle Mechanics and tirelessly answer people's questions, but I guess it doesn't do you any good to know that now, does it?
I don't really read any of the rest of them.

It would stave off a great deal of confusion there if the Southern California forum were renamed a la PC's description.

Yes but hopefully now some of them will be posting on their "private" forum. That's a good thing, isn't it?

Ahh yes, Nathan Fabian... I actually know that dude... and he's kinda lame in real life too... he went to New College while I went to Ringling a few miles down the road... There was a bit of a bike scene, pretty small, pretty much centered around NC's Student Bike Shop (a la Oven, Bikerowave, or Kitchen)... it was hard not to know anyone who rode a bike in SRQ....

Well, checked the local forums up here.
There are only 68 registered users and the last posting was made roughly, two weeks ago.
If they're riding more than typing, y'all would've thought I'd have seen these guys already.
Methinks they're all in it for the sport and are actual, everyday subscribers to "Car&Driver", and spend more time doing other, boring shit.

That Nathan Fabian thread is spectacular. Thanks, PC. The stream-of-consciousness PhotoChops have reaffirmed my faith in mankind's quest for beauty. I would hope Nathan would be proud of his role in the creation of very cool and funny internet meme. If only my life had attained such meaning at his young age.
alicestrong, yes, I think the spin-off forum is a good thing, in the way a quarantine is a good thing.
