Desert Swarm nds reconfiguring

Seeing as how the first two attempts were mediocre at best, I'm placing this one on indefinite, drawing board status.
Seeing as how many people would be more interested on weekends, that's going to be a bitch and a 1/2.
My job at this point, refuses to even let any weekends go.
Another thing would probably be this cold weather we usually get up here.
The way I've witnessed it, especially on Bear Valley, most would rather burn fuel and sit for 20 minutes trying to get 1mile.
That shows, in one way, how people are soooo, overdependent on their cars/trucks up here.
Another thing would be some form of, alternate leadership to hand it off to, in the event I'm working.
My friends are lost without me, the "Victor Valley Bicycle Club" are dayriders that don't want to associate with "non-spandex" wearers. So, unless I start getting different days, or work days on the weekends with nights free, I don't see anyone effectively leading this ride aside from myself.
So, for the time-being, I'll repost the ride when I feel it's ready to be done.
In the meantime, I'm a proud-wearer of the Juggernauts' sleeve patch.

Dude, hang tough (that goes for Tern too.) I used to hand out flyers from the top tube of my beat shit bike to riders I passed on the way home in gridlock from UCLA. There were riders but no one wanted to hang.
Now the Westside is SICK. It'll happen . . . be patient, and maybe try some workarounds, and you'll be cool. It's a tough place to try to start something. Progress is slow, but when you turn one of those idling engine idiots into a die hard rider 4 life how sick will that be. It's slow progress but it's immense and nearly irreversible when you achieve it.

Is it just me, or am I also the only person in the world that actually bitches about overtime???
Seems like I'm called in earlier more often, due to other employee's cars breaking down.

Well, looks like I've finally been moved into a position where I've got the weekends off and can make this sort of thing happen again.
My only concerns for right now are these;
-Seeing as how the wind tends to blow out of one direction and at high-rate of speed, I'll most likely have to keep tabs on the forecasts.
Last thing we need is a bunch of potential riders discouraged due to having to fight a 20-40mph headwind.
-As far as spreading info about the rides, you may recall from earlier postings that most of everyone up here, including the LBS's, are completely oblivious to MR, or any recreational mass-ride for that matter.
The only effective way I may be able to spread rides up here is by perusing some of the local forums, and even resorting to the classic, MR-style approach of placing flyers onto bicycles and cars w/bicycles attached.
With this in mind, I'll probably be aiming for a May/June startdate.
Friday or Saturday nights, once a month like CMob and speedybrian's rides.

Cool, you can make the poker ride!
And I'll stay at my brother's for Desert Swarm if you get it going.
