Hey I have some tires that have been chewed up and I can't obviously use them. Is there a place where you can recycle them?
Oh ya here is a picture of a monster bruise I got after my first pinch flat AND going down hill. Could have been way worse.

Did you post it to the "Hooray for Crashes!" photo section? You should. That's a winner.

All right Katie, I did. I should have put a ruler next to my leg to put it to scale. Darn. HOORAY FOR CRASHES!

As for the original issue at hand, call around to bike shops and municipal sanitation programs.
If they could find a use for old car tires, then bicycle tires should be a walk in the park.

Theres a hand made shop in Studio City that has an artist that makes purses and small bags out of old tires. If you can't find any other way to recycle them and you're in the valley, drop in there and ask for the contact info for the artist. I'm betting they would love em.
