whoever was doing drugs on the last FMLY RIDE put us all at risk. It's really disrespectful to the places that we are allowed to stop at and completely disrespectful to the ride. Please leave your hard drugs at home or don't come on the ride. You put everyone at risk and that behavior is NOT welcome.

there were two coke bags found at cobblermania after we left. We might not be allowed back there and that is a real shame.

Can you elaborate on what "HARD DRUGS" were being used? I wanna preface this by saying I'm not condoning any sort of drug use on any bike ride. I"m out there to have a good time...not to have my gf pick me up at the ER cuz of some asshole doing smack or crack or mushrooms, acid, etc......with that said, IMO it sounds like you're saying some drugs are ok and some aren't.....it's a mixed message for a public bike ride posted on a public forum. Not instigating...just curious on what message you're trying to convey.

Anytime people lose their motor skills on any substance is cause for alarm. Anytime people post up on public property and the invitation is to everyone that wants to come, there will be all kinds of debauchery. Why are you tripping? Its part of the "culture"....I don't drink anymore because I was getting sloppy with my ridding but after all, no one put a gun to my head. Its best to make friends at rides and make your own private rides. At least you know who is coming. Coke bags left behind???? This story is a little sketchy.

I treat rides like riding on the freeway at 2am. If I see anybody acying stupid, I either seed up or slow down so that I am not riding next to or right behind them.
All drugs, (legal and illegal) will some how affect the judgement anf abilities of a rider. Most people, who use moderatly, are able to maintin, but let's face it, some people handle their shit, and some people don't.
On the other hand, some drugs are socially acceptable, and some are not.
And what is NEVER welcome is littering your drug containers.
Be respectful of the rides you attend and the places that they visit.
Know that it may be "hypocritical" for society to reject a dangerous drug like cocaine or speed and condone the legal yet deadly drugs; alcohol and tobacco.
If you need to get high to have fun on a ride, use some descression and some common sense, so you don't cause a crash or leave a bad impression of your fellow riders.
And of course if you use disposable containers to store your drugs, please dispose of them (or recycle) in an appropriate location.

my question is who would be dumb enough to leave two coke bags there.... shit's expensive.......i've had people offer me meth on rides before.....most definitely not my thing but as long as they keep themselves in check i'll stay out of their business...... leaving coke bags around though? cmon seriously?

I would suggest that riding a bike produces the best high.
Its no surprise to me that people would want to "enhance" it with other substances or just stick with endorphin / adrenaline speed balls. Some ppl like their drugs sraight an natural. Other people like to add on.
One of the reasons I love riding my bike is the escape it provides.
When I am feeling the rush of adrennaline, the burn of smog in my lungs and the lactic acid burning my thighs I'm not really worrying about the mundane annoyances of the day to day.

thread title kind of makes you think there is a drug called FMLY and some kats are on it.
But i got to admit I'm very interested in the "next" one year anniversary.
Like one of those sci-fi or twilight zone stories about being stuck in this reoccurring bike ride, and you just can't get out of that first year. kind of like groundhog's day or something.
That FMLY batch must be strong; just say no.

Every day I hope and pray for the end of cycling's underground status and it's move to it proper place as mass transportation.
I know that some of you are banking on this scene staying "underground" so you can have someinthing in life that makes you cool and different, but sorry, this isn't it.
If you want to be cool, consider collecting baseballcards or or better yet istening to abject music with offensive lyrics and low quality production. You can be a high acheiver at these hobbies and still hang on to you transportation hobby, even as it becomes a common way of getting around.

i smoke weed cos it gives me peace of mind! i didnt notice any rocknroll clowns, and i have heard that dr rockso has since gone straight. but seriously is this a side effect of picking up riders along the route? i am all for making friends and all that great stuff but sometimes someone has to step up to prevent injury. i dont want to dodge cokeheads, but please there should be a cool way to call someone out if they are riding like shit before they wipeout and take a few in the vicinity down with them.

since when was "cycling" underground in our lifetimes? The Tour de France is huge around the world, and Jared Leto even rides a bike (hint: I bet he does coke).
And if anyone is dealing or using in this underground scene, then Roadblock should be taxing them big time... all pimp like, on a sick pimped out bike with a bike polo stick as a cane.

Okay, don't be too hard on me everyone. I saw a fairy in that place....and she asked me for some of the good stuff. I'm sorry that she didn't get it. I guess fairies are not that fast. Maybe we could include them (sans bikes, of course) in the next Wolf Pack drag race so that they can prove their speed. But, for reals, this post-nasal drip is getting me down.
