Alvarado bike THIEFS

Beware the intersections of Alvarado and James Wood in the night. About a month ago two guys tried to steal my bike. Fortunately some cops stopped at the red light right next to us and yesterday again two guys almost took it if not for some bystanders that stepped in and helped me out.

Dude, that's terrible! I ride through that intersection at least twice a day, often really late at night. Could you tell if it was the same guys both times?
And here I thought this was going to be about Echo Park...

Nah man same assholes. Just watch out. 2 tall built black guys. Saw them on the southeast bus stop both times.

Nah, I was on the sidewalk (STUPID ME) and well its an uphill, coming home from work late at night and so they come out and say, " Hey nice bike, let me ride it" Off course I say no and begin to ride off to which point one gets aggressive and says hey didnt you hear my friend? Let him ride it... To which point some other bystanders step up and tell them to leave me alone. Lucky break I guess. Just gotta find another route...

@adictpunk: wow, they had the audacity to do that. i wonder what would've happened if you let one of them ride it. what would the other friend do? jog alongside?

What do you expect when you're riding by MacArthur park? Try riding through K-town. It's a little bit safer on that side!

You must not be from this neck of the woods. Thats not even close to macarthur park. Its alot closer to echo park... and doesnt k-town have there own problems lilke kush town bike ride!...

Believe me wether you look it or not their is a huge chance youll still get jacked in that area. I know because it happened once to me already...
