They're either ignorant or fearful of the fact that the Ayatollah has the final say in any major decision in Iran.

ironically, i was watching an interview on CNN, where the commentator was extolling the reasons that the the iranian election was obviously a fraud, and i thought it was strikingly similar to the 2000 election.
- akmedinijad appeals to the poor ignorant voters, portrays himself as a common man
- bush, a rich kid from illinois calls himself dubya, dumbs down his speech and pretends to be a cowboy
- akmedinijad appointed election officials
- jeb bush appointed election officials
- polls had akmedinijad losing in key districts, only to see him win
- blacks in florida
-iranians rioted in the streets
- voters complained to congress and were ignored
read up on the CIA backed toppling of the democratically elected president of Iran in 1953.
Long story short. The CIA paid a mob of people to riot in the streets. Then the CIA paid another mob of people to fight the first mob. the result was enough distraction instability and choas to overthrow the democratically elected leader of iran who's agenda was nationalizing the oil industry. probably more of the same going on here.... just like in Venezuela, a lot of the upper class doesnt like the reforms that benefit the lower class. same shit.
Actually RB the situation there is more fucked up than that. Just look at the sheer levels of brutality the police are using there to suppress dissent in any form. This is not a mere difference of opinion.
Police there are shooting people with cameras, and the government has been trying to shutdown the internet and satellite communications to try to prevent people from getting the word out.
In the rest of the world, people are helping by providing ways for Iranians to get the word out. Even Anonymous is in on the act now.
The Iranian govt is tracking down twitter users by their timezone and location registered on the site. I just changed MY twitter location and timezone to Tehran, to help make it harder for these fascist thugs to find and kill people who speak out against them. I URGE ALL OF YOU TO DO THE SAME. You may help save a life of a person whose only real crime is to question the validity of election results. America is no stranger to this problem.
Now if only we could stand up in unity against the tyranny that befalls us like the people from Iran.
