We are going to have a ride from the USC area, 30th and university, to crank mob. We will leave at 8:30 and go at a casual pace.

 The shortest possible distance is about 10 miles, if you take Jefferson.

USC to Crank Mob Start

But honestly, I think Pico is always fastest, there's a hill right before Century City, but otherwise pretty flat.
