"Of note, Machine Project will have an orchestra play from the buckets of the new ferris wheel as it goes around and around and Shih Chieh Huang (art installation seen in the photo) will be making a "Neptunian lair along and above the pedestrian and bicycle path beneath the Santa Monica Pier."

Oh wow! WOW! I'm really stoked for this! I'm gonna sleep ALL DAY before hand! Is someone organizing a ride to this event? If not, will someone?

I don't know about rides organized to this... however, for any of y'all that don't know, Machine Project (the one mentioned in the OP) is a gallery in echo park, right next door to the Downbeat Cafe on the corner of Sunset/Alvarado. If you have not been there yet (their hours are odd, check their website (http://www.machineproject.com/)) and go check it out. The space is rad, and Mark Allen who runs the place is a friend of mine, and former professor. They do some of the most out there, experimental art in LA.

The meeting of two such powerful forces would be a perfect storm of epic proportions. And silly string.
