 Battery and vibration sensor would be more effective as deterrence. I'd rather not have my bike stolen than simply get revenge on a thief after the fact, especially when said revenge will almost certainly not result in the return of my bike.

Dan B should install this on his tall bike and then when he see that someone has, yet again, started riding around on his tallbike without asking, he can just knock them off before they fall off of their own accord. Plus, it'd be incredibly fun to watch.
