Two men on bicycles opened fire on a man and woman in front of a South Los Angeles house late Monday, injuring both, authorities said today.
The shooting outside 1338 East 43rd St., near Hooper Avenue, was reported around 9:45 p.m. Monday, said Officer Ana Aguirre of the Los Angeles Police Department.
2 shot in bicycle drive-byThe two gunmen rolled up on their bikes, stopped and shot the man in the right hand and the woman in the buttocks before fleeing on their bicycles, Aguirre said.
Both victims, in their 30s, were taken to a hospital, where they were in stable condition, Aguirre said.
Police searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the shooters, she said.
"We do believe the incident is gang-related," Aguirre said.

A few hours before the bicycle shooting, a drive-by shooting from a vehicle left another man and woman in South Los Angeles wounded.
At 7:55 p.m., a vehicle drove up and shots were fired at two people standing at the corner of South Main and 87th streets. The woman was hit in the chest and the man in the back.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where the woman was in critical condition today and the man in stable condition, Aguirre said.
Aguirre said police did not know whether the incident was gang-related.
"There are no witnesses or description on the vehicle," Aguirre said.
