Or, just take plenty of pictures, videos and add a little music to market your brand of ride.

you can also check to see if there's any rides going on in or near your area and join up with those rides. i'm a noob as well and don't have much friends who bike, so i've been doing that or just plain riding alone. these cats are all stand up people, so don't be nervous showing up to a ride where you don't know anyone!

I too was a noob not long ago. Come out to one of the posted rides and make some new friends. Come out to C.R.A.N.K. Mob and have a really good time. I also heard that http://www.bikerowave.org/ is the place to go.
