I was downtown tonite, and about to get on the bus, when i noticed a cop car down at the bottom of the hill (I was on hill and 1st, car was at 1st and broadway) then out from around the car springs about 40 cyclists, escorted by several other police cars and a motorcycle, anyone know what this was?

It could've been that Nike Windrunner ride that started in Melrose and ended up at DTLA at Blends.

It started at 7pm. Were any ridazz on the ride? I had a friend that wanted to ride today and I tried convincing her to ride SFV Critical Mass. No luck...

It was an organized ride put on by LAPD Central Division as part of National Night Out. Can't find a linky right now,

There's also a ride tomorrow night with Tom LaBonge that will probably also have LAPD corking.
