Hey there Riderrrz,
I was just wondering if anyone might be interested in taking a mini-weekend tour in say Angeles Crest or up the coast or something. I've had some touring gear for a little while here but it's pretty tough to find people that are equipped/down for an intense biking and camping adventure. Anyway, hit me up folks and we'll tour the shit out of Los Angeles's beautiful fringes.

Some of us have been tossing around the very same idea. San Diego, Mexico, etc. Angeles Crest is a crazy climb, but the swimming holes are very well worth it. I'll update here for sure.

I'm really into this as well. Just need to get the proper gear together.

So long as it's summer, a weekend (possibly even a week) of touring could be supported with a rear rack and top bag, maybe a pannier or two if you feel the need to be prepared.

I like to tour. Maybe not the 26th, but I've been jonesing to do a weekender. I've never done one that short but I think it would be lots of fun. Also been wanting to do a tour up to SF but that's more like a week.

I'd be down for one maybe beginning of August. I've done the camping/touring before and it's a blast. Lots of snacking, scenery and great photo ops.

So it appears that I am not able to tend to this thread in a productive manner. If anyone is interested in doing a tour sometime soon give me an e-mail and we'll discuss and make it happen.
The only place I know of at the moment is Angeles Crest. I think that would make for a solid destination but I'm also up for other ideas. Hit me up folks.
P.S. I'll be jobless pretty soon so if anyone wants to do something a little more extended I'd be open to that too.

Santa Barbara wine country - regular stops at vineyards, awesome scenery, reasonable climbs, and plenty of camping.

chartering a bus to take us all there wouldn't be too much, especially if split between 20-30 riders.
