I'm perplexed by the light in some of these. What kind of flash are you sporting? Great work, particularly with your colors. Some of this contrast is so dynamic it's unreal.

For those who were curious about my equipment and process, I shoot pretty much exclusively with a 50mm 1.4 lens on a Canon 5D. As much as possible I usually try to avoid flash and the combination of that lens and camera sensor is about as good low light performance as you can get.
The flash I used for the shots using one was actually a pretty ghetto Vivitar from a garage sale and doesn't sync to my camera at all, I just manually adjust exposure when using it. I put a diffuser over it to soften it a little. The really frenetic image of the foot down was done by leaving the shutter open longer and it captured more than one flash firing from other photographers in addition to my own.
I also shoot in RAW image format which gives more flexibility over exposure and color in processing. I go through each image 1 at a time in Aperture and make tuning adjustments and sometimes cropping to get the results I want.

Oh jesus RAW. If I shot in RAW my computer would shut down on me and I'd probably take like five years to process/ upload any pictures, haha. Nice to hear about your work, though. Good stuff.
