Bikerowave will be holding a Fix-A-Flat Clinic next Tuesday September 2nd, at 7pm at the Bikerowave.
This is a pretty basic clinic. NO experience is required. We’ll provide all the tools and supplies for a few practice / demo tube repairs / replacements, and should you wish to purchase tubes ($5), patch kits ($2), or tire levers ($1 each, three recommended) for your own future use, we’ll have them available. You can render yourself a lot less likely to be stranded for the whopping sum of $10. (You’ll still need to acquire a bike pump on your own.)
Hope to see you there!

Speaking of flat tires...
I just thought I'd mention this, because this stop seems to show up on a lot of rides: DO NOT ride on the grass at the upper part of Pan Pacific park. There are sharp THORNS up there. They took out both my tires at the end of the People's Ride. Actually, the tires went flat when I pulled the thorns out.
Also, due to my limited experience with mini pumps, which I borrowed from a fellow rider that night, I broke the tip off one of the replacement tubes. Luckily a little bit of metal was still lodged in there and the tire kept enough pressure to get me home to West LA.
I might just show up to this clinic. So far I've only learned by experience.

Although most of the people looking at this site in the middle of the day probably know way more about bikes than the average person, on the odd chance there's somebody out there that's always wanted to join one of the rides but is afraid of getting stranded due to a flat, I thought I'd bump this thread and remind you to that you're more than welcome to head over to the free Flat Clinic at the Bikerowave this evening.
So, bump.

Hey Barleye,
We should have it covered, but since I have no idea how many people will be showing up, if you've got the time you're more than welcome to come by and help out.
