hello, its that strange, english, little, a.d.d kid, I really really want to make a ride that starts in santa monica but have trouble coming up with routs since i dont no my way around to well, so i would love some one to join me as the leader's of a westside ride starting at my house two blocks from Marvista park, we could start with some wener dogs as you say here, and then role out on a misson of maddness, laughfta, and most importantly, F.U.N
my real name is dylan, but for all the people that no me by that my new nickname is popsicle.
SEND IN YOUR IDEAS TO SEE THEM COME TO LIFFEEEEE.

Nice meeting you tonight Dylan.
There are plenty of Westside riders that will be happy to help you set something up. Weekends are best if you can find a free one, but an earlier (7-8pm start time) weekday ride would also be welcome.
I'd encourage you to attend one of the Taco Tuesdays rides if you haven't been on that ride before, as they hit up a lot of the fun and lesser known aspects of the Westside, and the organizers (XL and Cesar) are tremendously cool.
Some good destinations / stopping points:
Crankmob Park (aka Media Park in Culver City)
Mar Vista Park on Sawtelle
The other Mar Vista park at Palms and McLaughlin
Ballona Creek Bikepath
Mustache Bridge
Mom's Beach in Marina Del Rey
Venice Pier
The Venice Mini Pier a few blocks north
The Windward Circle Roundabout
Dockweiler (the only beach in L.A. where it's legal to set stuff on fire)
Any of the 8 million 7-11s, Ralph's, etc.
Just pick 3-5 of those or some other ones that you like, find a route that's a mix of main thoroughfares that are reasonably bike friendly and smaller roads in interesting neighborhoods to link them together, and you've got yourself a ride.
Good luck!
